Well, in the first posting of the bowl game picks between myself and our resident college football expert Jeff Young, it was stated that nobody really knows what’s going to happen in any of these games for sure. This college football season is completely unpredictable. Our picks sure proved that. Jeff went 9-12, while Aaron went 11-10. Might as well finish off the picks. Here’s Jeff and Aaron’s picks for the New Years Day bowl games all the way to the national championship.

  I hate trying to
pick Tennessee games. You never know what team is going to show up.
I see Tennessee controlling the injury-depleted Badgers in this
one. 27-10
AaronÂ
  The Vols have
always been a good team under Fulmer, but never really great. They
haven’t been able to finish a truly great season. But against
a Wisconsin team that lost a bunch of games they shouldn’t
have, Tennessee will win this one. 35-21

  Darren McFadden
vs. Chase Daniel. My money is on #5. 27-21
Aaron Â
  Chase Daniel and
crew were left out of the national championship and Chase
Daniel’s reputation took a hit. Missouri will rebound big
time, coming out firing for the win against a mediocore Arkansas
team. 42-27
Konica Minolta Gator Bowl -Â CBS

  The pigs and the
ham should be in full force for Tech’s explosive
offense. 41-21
Aaron Â
  Tech has an
overwhelming defense, but Virginia has flown under the radar all
year in the sub-par ACC. I just don’t think Virginia will
keep up for 60 minutes. 31-21
Capital One Bowl - ABC

Goodbye Lloyd
Carr. Goodbye Mike Hart and the rest of the
“O-fer†UM senior class. Never beat
Ohio State (0-4) and never won a bowl game (0-4). Oh and say hello
to Tim Tebow for me. 41-14 (notice the significance in the
prediction)
AaronÂ
Â
Florida is the
big favorite in this game, and for good reason. Their defense rises
up at the right time, and it doesn’t hurt to have the Heisman
winner passing and running for scores. Michigan, much like the
majority of the Big 10 this year, was extremely disappointing.
28-14
Rose Bowl Presented by Citi - ABC

Illinois
has
an almost unstoppable QB/RB combo in Juice Williams and Rashard
Mendenhall. But, USC is one of the hottest teams out there right
now. In the end, USC has too many weapons. 37-17
Aaron Â
 The Trojans are
the most dangerous team in college football right now, they would
win the national championship game if they were in it. Illinois had
a great year for their program but it won’t be enough at all.
38-24

Anyone remember
what Boise State did against Oklahoma last year in the Fiesta Bowl?
Brennan is an amazing quarterback, but I think the dream season
ends against a well-prepared Georgia team who wants to prove they
were worthy of being in the national title game. 35-31
AaronÂ
Next to USC, the
Bulldogs are another team I just would not want to play right now.
They had a terrific season in a very tough conference. Hawaii is a
nice story and got the national stage they feel they earned, but
look at their schedule…who did they play? 27-17
January 2
Tostitos Fiesta Bowl - FOX

Jeff Â
Â
Rich
Rodriguez is heading to Michigan. That has to play a big part
especially when they could’ve been in the
national title game if only they could beat an overmatched Pitt
team at home. Oklahoma is hot after destroying Mizzou in the Big12
Championship game. 24-13
AaronÂ
Â
The
Sooners are playing fantastic right now after winning the Big 12,
but even with turmoil surrounding West Virginia the past few weeks,
you can’t help but think they’ll be more than fired up
and ready for this game. Pat White and Steve Slaton lead them to a
victory in what should be a great game. 41-35
January 3
FedEx Orange Bowl - FOX

JeffÂ
Â
The
“Fightin
Mangino’s†have had an incredible
season. A close loss to Va. Tech should not discredit all that they
have accomplished. 31-27
AaronÂ
Â
This
is big time offense taking on big time defense. I like the defense
here, and I honestly still believe that the Hokies are playing with
so much pride after the tragedy last spring. 21-17
January 5
International Bowl - ESPN2

Â
To
me, this is a no brainer. Ray Rice is an explosive back. He should
have no problem against Ball State. 38-10
AaronÂ
Â
On
paper this is a huge mismatch in favor of Rutgers. That will easily
translate onto the football field. Too much talent on the pride of
dirty Jersey for Ball State to handle. 44-24
January 6
GMAC Bowl - ESPN

Didn’t
Bowling Green lose to Temple this year, again?
‘Nuff said. 17-14
Aaron
Â
To
add to that…Bowling Green has lost to Temple two years in a
row. Wow. 24-16

Jeff Â
  Ahh. Ohio State
looks to avenge their embarrassing loss to Florida in the national
title game last year. Les Miles has made some very questionable
calls this year that were close to costing his team their chance to
get into this game. Everyone is overlooking this young Ohio State
offense and focusing on the loss last year. I see
“The Senator†(Coach Jim Tressel)
preparing his team for a defensive game and making sure what
happened last year, stays just where it is: in the past. Upset in
the Bayou. 31-24
AaronÂ
Â
Both
of the Tigers losses this year came in triple overtime, so they
have never been truly beaten down this year once. They had an
extremely tough schedule and beat some very quality teams. Even if
Dorsey doesn’t play because of injury, this team is so good
and so physical. Ohio State played a cupcake schedule. They won
they games they should have, but they won’t match up against
LSU. 27-13
God I am getting ROLLED this year.
Next year, i may just pick whoever i really dont think is going to win…def would have a winning record then.
